AP.1 Mayan Celts Throughout the entire region inhabited by the Maya one finds a wonderful form of celt. Most often these are made of Jade or Jadite and occasionally hematite or even limestone. The following is a nice selection of these Mayan celts from the cultural heartland of Belize and Guatamala.

AP.2 Lammalar Flake Tools from Mexico. These are nice large obsidian examples with a little retouch to the edges during use. This technology was perfected as early as
1400 years ago in the region but these probably have a date of around 500 to 800 years old.

AP.11 Calima Culture Gold Nose Ring (BC 300 to 600 AD) $225. Found in Columbia, weighing 1.90 grams. 1.7 cm wide and 1.5 cm long. this is a beautiful solid example.

AP.18 Effigy Figure, Costa Rica $75. Brown ceramic 6 cm tall with molded
features of an animal eating an ear of corn. Suspension hole at the neck and clay balls inside to make a rattle. Was this perhaps a toy? Diquis Region, Middle-Late Diquis Period.

AP.19 Bird Effigy Figure, Costa Rica $80.
Wonderful molded and incised features, 4 cm high and 6 cm long. Not only really neat form
but also a high degree of detail. Linea Vieja, Middle-Late Period .

AP.21 Tri-lobe Pots $280. Very unique specimen is three
conjoined redware pots with spinus protrusions around the waist and having a large loop handle in the middle. 22 cm high and 11 cm high. The size and shape of this vessel made it fairly delicate and beign buried for
centuries caused some stress fractures so it has been glued. There are a couple of minor chips in the spines. Heavy soil deposits have not been cleaned away. Super example.

A very fine example, highly polished, highly detailed and perfect condition. 8 cm diameter
and 7 cm high.
